swallowtail notebook
I love this little notebook. (you could use it for a journal if you like)
It was quick and relatively easy to do.
I did make a couple of mistakes (like forget to use my embossing buddy before heat embossing!!) but nothing too drastic. It’s the mistakes that make it uniquely mine 🙂
Using the ’emboss resist’ technique (emboss then use a sponge/dauber to colour in image and wipe away excess with a piece of kitchen towel) is really easy and effective.
And I also used a neat little trick using bleach in an Aqua Painter (keep this one solely for this purpose). Credit for this little tip goes to the lovely France Martin.
You could use Stampin’ Up! traditional Stampin’ Write Markers or the new Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers to add stronger colour where required.
This technique is such fun to play with.
Go ahead! Give it a go!
I’ve attached a brief doc to detail products used etc.
I would love to hear from you so, any comments or questions, do drop me a line.
Happy Stampin! 🙂
