Watercolor Wishes Card Kit:

Annual15_p080_a watercolor wishes

Just when I thought I’d found my favourite Stampin’ Up! card kit, another gorgeous one comes along!!!

I’ve had such fun with this kit. It makes 20 beautiful cards, covering a range of occasions and the best bit is, each card is different. No two cards are the same. Absolutely everything you will require to make your gorgeous card collection is supplied in a beautiful gift box. You could happily present this set as a gift to friends and family, even if they aren’t crafters, as the stamp set, block, ink spots and embellishments are all supplied. AND!!! the stamps are included in the price! It’s an absolute bargain. Or, make up the cards and present them as a gift set. I have to say the stamp sentiments are really lovely and in such beautiful fonts. There is everything to LOVE about this kit. Now ….. the only warning I would give is …… if you are planning to gift this kit, you will definitely need to buy one for yourself, otherwise you won’t be able to part with it. Yes, it’s that gorgeous!!! Stampin’ Up! have done us proud with this years’ kits, without a doubt.

Below are some quick pics of the kit as I’ve made it up for my Craic & Crafting Classmates this week. I should point out that I’ve added a couple of bits and pieces to some of the cards simply to illustrate that you could use some of your existing Stampin’ Up! craft stash to compliment the kit …. however …. this is not strictly necessary, as the kit in itself is gorgeously complete. I’ve added a link directly to Craft Shopping Heaven for you to make it easier for you to get your hands on this ‘must have’ kit.

Oh and here are some quick pics of some of the Thank You gifts I’m making for this project class. 🙂 They are tiny little fridge magnets. Aren’t they cute!!! And each one will have the recipients initial tied with Natural Thread.

Enjoy x

Painted Petals: Friends become our chosen Family

Hi Folks,

I hope you’ve all had a lovely Easter Break. Well I thought I would give you a break from Easter Bunnies and do something totally different. This is a quick card I’ve made as a gift for a lifetime friend. It’s a relatively simple card however it’s great fun to do and I love the distressed effect of the spritzing. Design credit for this card goes to Julie Davison. I had noticed her card on Pinterest and just loved it. What do you think of my take on it? (and don’t forget to check out the quick video tutorial below)

I used my inkpad to distress the little plaque and sprayed with a silicone sealant.

I love the perfect coordination of Stampin’ Up! products. I think my little teddy agrees 😉

To make the video shorter, I tried a new format (in other words I did very little talking lol). I would love your feedback on it as I’m not at all sure. 🙂

Gorgeous Gifts:

Show how much you care.

A handmade gift is priceless and these beautiful little butterfly brooches will impress and delight friends and family.

Papillon Potpourri brooches

Delight your friends with these beautiful little brooches.

I made these little brooches for some friends recently and I was so pleased to see their delighted reaction to receiving them.

It must be stated that the picture does not do them justice.

So easy to do.

Simply stamp, colour, then glaze with about 5 coats of Crystal Effects.

I left one full day between each coat just to be sure it was fully hardened.

“to be sure to be sure” as they would say over here

Try different techniques for your butterflies.

I stamped one with Papillon Potpourri.

Another I simply punched butterfly out of Very Vanilla Cardstock and glazed.

And another I punched from Very Vanilla cardstock and stamped over with Hopeful Thoughts – 129582.

This little stamp set is a MUST HAVE for all creative crafters and I know you will LOVE making these little butterflies.

Quick Tip: – don’t forget the envelopes

Make an instant impression with your Envelopes: Isn’t it lovely to receive a handmade card, and especially so if the envelope has also been beautifully decorated; creating an excited anticipation to see what it inside. So don’t forget to beautify your envelopes too. 🙂 Project Life Point & Click Stamp Set http://www2.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=135787 Holiday […]
